Dr. DoBin Choi
Dr. DoBin Choi was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. She earned her Degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master of Science in Orthodontics from West Virginia University. She completed her master’s thesis on accelerated orthodontics with Invisalign treatment, with a focus on non-invasive methods to expedite the tooth movement for a shorter orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Choi graduated as the valedictorian of the class and was also inducted into the dental academic honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Choi is a board eligible orthodontist and a member of various professional organizations, including American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Virginia Dental Association. She is also a member of local Seattle Study Club to keep current with the new techniques and technology in dentistry.
Dr. Choi is a certified provider of Invisalign, Periodontally Assisted Accelerated Orthodontics, Soft Tissue Orthodontics, Dental Laser Therapy, and Temporary Skeletal Anchorage treatment. She specializes in early interceptive treatment, adult treatment, dentofacial orthopedic treatment, orthodontic treatment in conjunction with orthognathic surgery, cleft lip and palate treatment, sleep apnea management, and TMD management.
In her free time, she likes to hike beautiful trails in the New River Valley area, cook various international cuisines, and watch movies.
Dr. Khaled Alsharif
Dr. Khaled Alsharif is from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is the son of Dr. Fahad Alsharif. Upon graduating from Riyadh Elm University’s dental school, he accepted a scholarship opportunity for pursuing graduate dental education in the United States.
Prior to beginning his residency, he enrolled in a three-month rotation with the Department of Anesthesiology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Upon completing all pre-requisites, Dr. Alsharif was accepted into the orthodontics residency program and Master of Science in dental science programs at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Upon beginning his residency, Dr. Alsharif took an active role in teaching orthodontics to the dental students as a teaching assistant. He also completed numerous lectures on the topics of TADs, indirect bonding, orthognathic surgery cases and interdisciplinary care cases that were presented to the department of orthodontics, the graduate dental interdisciplinary seminar, and the combined oral surgery and orthodontics seminar.
Dr. Alsharif is an American Board of Orthodontics®-certified orthodontist and part-time faculty at the West Virginia University Department of Orthodontics. His clinical goals are to provide treatment that is efficient, personalized to every patient, and results in an exceptional looking, functional smile.
The emphasis Dr. Alsharif places on providing patients with ideal treatment has driven him to pursue advancement opportunities in learning about TADs, dental diode lasers, surgical treatment planning, indirect bonding and clear aligner therapy.
Dr. Alsharif is married to his lovely wife, Sarah, and they have wonderful daughter, Lana. He enjoys strength training, watching Star Trek and PC gaming.
