One of the state-of-the-art technologies featured at Real Life Ortho is the iTero® digital scanner. The iTero scanner is a cutting-edge device that allows our associates to view 3D images of the inside of your mouth in order to provide our patients with more effective treatments.
Using iTero scanning technology, we can capture up to 20 images per second in full color. This allows our orthodontist to easily distinguish between healthy and infected soft tissues, and to create highly accurate digital impressions and models. These digital impressions are then used to create appliances that fit and function better to provide you with an overall better treatment. The iTero scanner can even simulate your treatment outcome to show you what your final result should look like!
The scanning process is quick and comfortable. When we scan your mouth, our orthodontist will continually pass a small wand over the inside of your mouth. Images captured during the scanning process are immediately compiled to produce a highly accurate image of your mouth. The iTero scanner also automatically backs up the images every couple of seconds, eliminating the risk that the pictures will be lost and force you to sit through another scan.
